Cognitive Assessment

Cognitive assessments (also known as intelligence tests) are used to determine a learning profile by identifying their cognitive strengths and areas to work on. The results of cognitive assessments can provide a profile which can assist with the development of individualised intervention and learning plans for children. These can be used for DSM-5TR diagnostic purposes for DET/NDIS.


Can be conducted from age 3 years and older, including adults.

STEPS:


1. Prediagnostic Testing *& Interview with the Psychologist:

Payment required at booking: $110.50 - $334.49

a. Child Consent Form OR Adult Consent Form required

b. Tests will be emailed to Client & Teacher OR Other Adult.

c. *Interview to explore history and concerns for NEW CLIENTS.

Clients under 18 years - appt is with Parent/Carer.

Clients over 18 years - appt is with Client and can include another Adult.


2. Assessment Appointment with the Psychologist:

Payment required at booking: $613.73

Client will complete a WPPSI/WISC/WAIS


3. Full Cognitive Assessment Report


4. Handover Appointment with Parent/Carer

Payment required at booking: $613.72

to explain the findings and any recommendations.
